In case of WAN failure or poor connectivity to the softswitch, the Mediatrix Survivability feature establishes a fallback mode of operation to connect local endpoints (such as IP-Phones, ATAs, analog phones, and faxes) together while redirecting external calls to backup SIP trunks and gateways.
